After being closed for about half a decade, the Blyderivierspoort hike is open and ready for action. The Songimvelo Nature Reserve is 48000 hectare, the largest provincial nature game reserve in Mpumalanga South Africa, and has a high diversity of plant and animal species. The highest known plant diversity for the Mpumalanga Province. The list of more than 1 400 known species range from several recently discovered species to the last wild population of the Woolly Cycad.
